Drawing upon his experience as a former Director of Self-Publishing & Author Relations for Kobo, a former President of Canadian Booksellers Association and Board Member for BookNet Canada, Mark has worked with thousands of authors and publishers from around the world helping them to sort through the complexities of the business of publishing.
Mark Leslie Lefebvre has been a bookseller since 1992, the same year he sold his first story to a publisher. He self-published his first book in 1992 and has since published more than thirty books through traditional publishers as well as via self-publishing.
As the former Director of Self-Publishing and Author Relations for Kobo, Mark created Kobo Writing Life, Kobo’s self-publishing platform, which, by the end of 2017 represented 1 in every 4 books sold on www.kobo.com. Prior to that he managed bookstores and ran the first Espresso Book Machine Print-on-Demand service in Ontario (The 2nd in Canada) for McMaster University’s bookstore.
Mark has presented writing and publishing workshops to writers at conferences, bookstores, libraries and on campuses across Canada, throughout the United States, as well as in the UK, France, Italy and Germany. He has coached, guided and advised authors from five continents who have been able to earn upwards of six and seven figures a year generated from eBook sales at Kindle, Kobo, iBooks, Nook and Google.
